The CJP Convention is just around the corner! We will be gathering earlier this year than last and returning to the fabulous Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO. I hope your schedule allows and that you have planned on joining us and your CJP friends for what will be another fantastic CJP annual convention! More on this below.
Looking toward Fall, the return to school and football, now until the end of 2024 will be full of events and occurrences that will happen rapidly. Summer weather and thunderstorm avoidance will quickly give way to milder weather followed closely on its heels with winter flying considerations. Take the time now to begin ensuring your time machine is prepared for winter weather challenges!
Looking back, take some time to reflect on the things you have been able to accomplish, the places you have been able to see and the friends and family you have been able to connect with through the use of your fantastic flying machines. Literally. Do this. We are so privileged to live in a time and place where owning and piloting such aircraft is available and possible.
It is all too easy to become accustomed to our aircraft as a “given” in our lives. In the geometry of life airplanes can too often be found in the right column. So many things must align for each of us to own, operate, qualify and fly our airplanes. Being able to do so is a unique accomplishment and the result of hard work across many disciplines.
Continuing to be able to do so isn’t automatic and requires the same industry. CJP is here as your partner in this effort. Your board of directors is committed to continuing the vision started 16 years ago. CJP remains focused on learning/safety/education, advocacy, interaction and aviation community services.
Looking now! The annual convention is coming quickly. We will gather in Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor the week after Labor Day Weekend. The interaction committee has again developed industry leading content in collaboration with trusted CJP partners and top tier contributors. Highlights include an evening at the National Museum of WWII Aviation, thanks to Textron Aviation, and a presentation by Presage regarding the continued work on our Safe to Land(sm) initiative.
We will also have the best safety stand down and presentations in the business, model specific sessions, updates from our partners in the industry and the auction on Friday night with Harry Santa-Olalla. And if your Companion or guest isn’t as into all-things airplanes as you are, we also have a great schedule of activities for them as well. Check out our Convention FAQ in this issue for all the details.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
