Gold Standard Application

The CJP Gold Standard Safety Award is awarded at the CJP convention every year. A committee will review all of the applicants to make sure that they meet the criteria listed on the application. The applicant must provide proof of completion for the following training:

  • 100 PIC Multi-engine Turbine hours between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024.
  • Agreement to read and incorporate the CJP Standard Operating Practices (SOPs) into your flying.
  • A Citation 61.58 check at a Part 142 simulator training provider between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024.
  • A second Citation 61.58 at a Part 142 simulator training provider or six (6) hours of Citation DUAL instruction in an aircraft or simulator between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024.
  • Additional enrichment training between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024.
  • Describe and provide proof of completion of one of the following training events between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024. You must include proof of completion:
    • Completion of Safe to Land Course at Flight Safety
    • Participation in CJP FOQA Program
    • Ratings – sea, glider, rotor, ATP, warbird, LOA, etc.
    • Endorsements – tailwheel
    • Physiology training
    • Spin/aerobatic
    • Upset recovery
    • Other aircraft Part 142 sim
    • Specialty training – Survival training, dunk tank, backcountry, FAAST, etc.
    • CJP annual convention attendance
    • Other accredited aviation training
    • CFI renewal
    • FlightSafety International Pro Card Elite (must be Elite)
    • Total of 3 FlightSafety eLearning library courses
    • ATP Flight School Certification Training Program (ATP CTP)
    • Qualifying International flights (for example, those conducted with concierge flying service providers) which have flight planning and execution challenges that differ significantly from US flying. Of note, single leg flights into Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean are typically not unique enough to qualify.

If you have any questions about your individual training, please send an email to safety@citationjetpilots.com. We can evaluate any training (completed or proposed) to determine if it aligns with the award criteria.

The application must be completed Online and must be submitted with supporting documents on or before August 20, 2024.
